    La Williams con la FW14 del 1991. Particolarità rispetto al Ferrari era il meccanismo sequenziale, di tipo motociclistico. Mentre la Ferrari poteva programmare la scalata di più rapporti simultaneamente, il cambio Williams saliva e scendeva di uno solo al max. La McLaren fece le prime gare del 1992 con la mp4/6, che ancora aveva il cambio manuale. La Benetton mi pare lo introdusse con la B193 nel 1993. Nel 1994 praticamente lo avevano tutte le squadre
