I bought it from a German collector whose whole collection was flooded. He cleaned the models cursoily and stored them. Later he sold the models on eBay. I tried first to recover the Mercedes but I could not do in a perfect way. So I decided to give it to an expert who should style it to a ‘finished-line’ model. Engine and sections under the front hood are very detailed and accurate applied. Painting is crispy and well done. The only thing which you can criticise are the fragile bonnets for the intake of the wind screen which is mounted on the removable hood. There is a lot of pressure on them so they can get lose in an easy way. Not at all a CMC or an Exoto but a really amazing addition for collecting models of iconic race cars of the past.
