  1. Very nice collection, thanks for sharing. I also collect 1/18 scale models, mostly CMC, Motorbox/Exoto although I do have quite a lot of Minichamps too. My prized possessions are the Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti transporters, I have two Ferrari and one Maserati one.
  2. Amazing story! Thanks for sharing.
  3. Ciao @Elio11 I own and have read the book "Grand Prix Saboteurs". It is very well written and is a quite incredible story. The author, Joe Saward, is a very well known Formula 1 journalist who has been on the F1 circus since the late 1980s. He is very knowledge and a very good writer. I believe it only exists in English however.
  4. There used to be an Australian Grand Prix in the 1970s and 1980 that was mostly run with Formula 5000 cars. In the early 1980s they used Formula 3 type cars. Although given the title of Australian Grand Prix, it was obviously not part of the Formula 1 World Championship. Every now and then some of the Formula 1 stars would come 'down under' with their F1 machines or even drive the F5000/F3 cars. I saw a few of the races at Calder Park before finally the F1 World Championship race was held in Adelaide in 1985.

    Didier Pironi

I was at Hockenheim that day (sat at turn 1) in 1982 when he had his crash. The rain was awful, I remember the silence when all the cars returned to the pits and they announced Didier had had a huge shunt.
