  6. Every hole in my body has been penetrated – outside of marriage – by a lover’s cock. There, I said it.So, um. Yeah. I cheated on my husband Harold on a number of occasions. First, I felt guilt, but was I right to feel this way? I was empathic. I was sympathetic. I was trying to figure out what was right and what was wrong. But was I affirmed? No. At the time I confessed my “sins†to him, I had engaged in extramarital affairs with four other men, and I said two dangerous words: “I’m sorry.†I felt like the bad guy, I felt like the villain – but then…something changed. I snapped out of this patriarchy-induced trance when I noticed that Harold became even more upset at the news that three of the four men I had slept with were black. Wait – what? Was he really stooping to that? Somehow this act – which the patriarchy had deemed “wrong†– was somehow more wrong because their dicks were bigger? The activist in me took over. I grew angry. I was angry for all the women who had been made to feel like the villain because of a moment of weakness in a sea of oppression. I was angry for all the persecuted minorities who are held to stricters standards for the same crime. He had the GALL to judge me negatively while he HIMSELF was some domineering puppet of a larger power hierarchy? And thus, I attacked. I described in detail the large, dark members that entered me from different angles, from different positions. I described every squeal of extramarital ectasy I uttered on our bed while he was at work. I just couldn’t take it, and it was during those moments that I realized the TRUTH of the situation; I was NOT sorry, and every inch of my lover’s cock that penetrated my backside signified my fortitude – my strength to assign responsibility where it was due. The strength to realize that it was not my fault that I cheated. The strength to stand up on behalf of every woman who was made to feel marginalized because her live-in domineering monster pushed her to into the arms of another man. What followed was a microcosm of the patriarchy’s own impending crumble – Harold broke. He cried. I cried. We cried together, and in the end….there was understanding. And then, as he cried in my arms, I took the higher ground; I forgave him. But this is something people seldom understand. Alas, it would be the height of irresponsibility for myself – or anyone – to accumulate this kind of wisdom without making an attempt to teach. I am a teacher. And I am affirmed. And most pertinently – I’m not sorry. Are you? ~ Desiree Meyers-Liebowitz
  7. WSBK star Eugene Laverty has been officially confirmed as an Aspar rider for the 2015 MotoGP season. The Irishman, 28, will race the upgraded Open class Honda, which is to receive this year's title-winning Honda RC213V engine. The bike will continue to run the standard ECU, but benefit from fuel, engine, testing and tyre concessions. Laverty has raced in World Superbike since 2011 with Yamaha, Aprilia and Suzuki, winning 13 races and finishing as last year's title runner-up. He was announced as moving to MotoGP by his current Crescent Suzuki team on September 16, but it is only now that Aspar have issued an official statement. “Eugene Laverty is a rider we were already in contact with last year, we tried to sign him then and even though we didn't manage it at the time he is a rider we have been interested in for a long time,†said team principal Jorge Martinez 'Aspar'. “I think he is a rider with great potential, he has produced some incredible races in Supersport and Superbikes, and he has a lot of wins on his record with a lot of different manufacturers, which says a lot about his capacity to adapt. “Maybe he hasn't had the luck that you always need to win a world title but I am sure that he will be giving 100% to the Drive M7 Aspar Team. I am sure he will continue to develop as a rider and he can bring a lot to this team. He is ready to make the step to MotoGP. "Next year we will have a new, more competitive Honda, and I have a lot of hope invested in our MotoGP project. I am sure we will achieve great results together.†It is assumed that Laverty is replacing former 250cc world champion Hiroshi Aoyama, Nicky Hayden having a contract in place for next season. However the Aspar statement failed to mention Laverty's team-mate. Loris Baz was initially expected to get the Aspar ride, but the team subsequently backed away from an agreement, citing the Frenchman's height (6'3â€). Baz is now tipped to get the remaining seat at Forward Yamaha. Eugene's brother Michael has spent the last two seasons racing in MotoGP for PBM, but it is unlikely that both will be on the same grid in 2015. PBM is focusing all its efforts on BSB next year, with Michael currently weighing up competitive options in the British and World Superbike Championships. Eugene previously raced privateer machinery in the 250cc grand prix class but left midway through 2008 to revive his career in World Supersport, where he won twelve races and was a double title runner-up. Such success cleared the way for the move to WSBK, with Yamaha, in 2011.
  8. Esteban Gutierrez is determined to remain on the F1 grid in 2015, particularly with a home race in Mexico slated to join the existing tour. Gutierrez, who has been a member of the Sauber (and BMW Sauber) squad since it took him under its wing in 2009, revealed that he is already in talks about a contract extension, but admits that there are a lot of pieces that need to be fitted to the 'silly season' jigsaw before his future becomes clearer. “[The 2015 deal] is something that is being negotiated at the moment, but I have also had contact with some other teams,†he confirmed, “We re just having to see what is going on in the market before people can make decisions and, then, for us to make a decision as well. It all depends on what the top [of the grid] is doing. “I'm confident I will be here [for a home GP] – I'm really looking forward to that experience – and, at the very least, I am going to fight to the end. “I know what my capabilities are, I know what my potential is and I know that the team knows. Right now, it is working on delivering [a better car], but that is not being shown to the people outside [the team].†Still pointless in 2014, Gutierrez admits that the season has been a frustrating one, but insists that he is developing as a driver and has not yet given up on opening his account. “[Not finishing] causes a little bit of frustration and adds to the pressure, but it's on my side to handle it and, thankfully, I think I can handle it pretty well,†he reflected, “I'll be going through like that, doing the best I can, fighting to the last race to achieve what we want to achieve.†Sauber has been unfortunate on more than one occasion in 2014, seeing possible points finishes go begging even when cars ahead of them have found themselves sidelined. With Suzuka providing a stern test of a drivers' ability this weekend, Gutierrez will be on the look-out for the chance of a top ten finish to help separate Sauber from Caterham at the foot of the constructors' table. “I think that, if there's trouble in the race, then there are always opportunities [to score],†he noted, “One of the main things is not to be one of those troubles because it seems that, in every opportunity we got since the second half of the season, we've been the ones having problems with mechanical issues, so... “Hopefully, those things are going to be fixed from now on. It was quite critical after Singapore, but that should be sorted out. In terms of the track [at Suzuka], it is not so much on our side, but I believe that the mechanical side of the car is quite good even if not so much the aerodynamics! Here, we have long straights, so it is not on our side, but there can still be opportunities in the race, which we have to be sure to take.â€
  9. Will Stevens is set to drive for Marussia in FP1 at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. The 23-year-old Briton was most recently with Caterham but left after Tony Fernandes sold the team to a group of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors advised by Colin Kolles. While Stevens has experience of the 2014 Caterham from the Silverstone mid-season test, Friday will be his first official practice session. Stevens is expected to replace Max Chilton for FP1, and Chilton himself said he is confident it won't impact on his own weekend. “I know Will very well,†Chilton said. “He's a good friend of mine so I'm more than happy to do so. I started karting against him at the age of nine and we've always been pretty close friends. We play golf with each other probably once a month so I'm more than happy [to miss FP1] if that comes about. “I'm really happy for him. Suzuka is one of those track where it is quite important to be in the car all weekend because it is quite a challenging circuit but I got on quite well here last year. I qualified quite a way ahead of Jules [bianchi] and we managed to get ahead of both Caterhams here, so I'm confident I've got the pace here. “But that's the way it is; we've got to let these – I say young guys but he's only a month younger than me – we've got to let people get that experience because it's hard for them to get the Super Licence and the mileage done and this is the best way to do that. It makes it slightly easier for me that he's a friend of mine but I think it should be more pushed throughout the grid that maybe every team should do it regularly in FP1 to get the driver's mileage up.â€
  10. Raikkonen feels Ferrari has finally given him the front-end feeling from the F14 T that he craves in order to be fast. "There are things we can improve as a package, but I have a feeling I can drive it as I want and it felt kind of easy compared to what I have had all year," Raikkonen said. "Every corner was a guessing game before, but now I can trust what will happen and I can drive my own way. "When you get things like that it makes things a lot easier and you're on a laptime straight away. "At places like this [Marina Bay], if you struggle with the front end you can easily be half a second slower. "It's a nice feeling and it would've been nice to have finished qualifying. "Hopefully we'll sort out the issues and go in that direction and ensure that every time I am in the car I get a good feeling and can be towards the front."

    Caterham

Manfredi Ravetto has revealed Caterham has begun 'testing' its 2015 car in Toyota's wind tunnel in Cologne and has insisted the outfit is “fully committed†to being in Formula 1 in 2015. Despite the takeover back in July by a consortium of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors - advised by former F1 team principal Colin Kolles – the future of the Caterham F1 Team remains uncertain. Indeed F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone recently said there was a real possibility that there could be eight three-car teams in F1 next season, with three then likely to disappear. Despite that though, Ravetto is adamant plans are afoot for next year: “We are currently testing our 2015 car in Cologne, at Toyota's wind tunnel,†he told the official F1 website. “Obviously you cannot run your car in Cologne just because of our extremely nice attitude! You only can do this with an injection of cash - which we did. And if we do this it means that we are fully committed to being here next year. “Let me explain some of the reasoning: a F1 team and a Formula 1 entry are huge assets, and therefore you have to do your maximum to protect these assets.†He also revealed that Caterham is keen to retain Marcus Ericsson for 2015, although Kamui Kobayashi's position is less concrete. His drive has been up for auction in recent months. “We have something in mind [for 2015] - and of course we are planning on a mix [of drivers]: an experienced driver and a 'hot shoe'. We don't want to lose Marcus because the team invested in him in his rookie time and now wants to harvest on this investment, as we think that he will be able to deliver. “Regarding Kamui, he knows that he has open doors at Caterham. Obviously he knows that he also has to deliver this year. He has to help us to achieve the P10 [in the Constructors'] that we are targeting.†Quizzed on the team's immediate plans, he added: “We are towards the end of the season with only flyaway races left where big changes are almost impossible, so we are working mainly in the office to work on the commercial side. We have the technical department that is focusing on 2015, and the race team takes it on a race-by-race basis. After Abu Dhabi we will exhale a bit and then start to get to know everybody better, which is very difficult when you come in at mid-season.†by Rob Wilkins

  17. When asked if he preferred astroturf or grass, George Best replied "Dunno, I've never smoked astroturf"
