Alto tasso tecnico? Molti duelli? Una esclude l'altra. Bisogna intendersi anche su cosa significa alto tasso tecnico. Curvoni veloci? Le monoposto attuali li fanno in scioltezza. Curve lente in successione? However, The Daily Telegraph claims that a clause in their contract means it can be terminated as early as next year.'The Northamptonshire track is suffering from a loss of rental income after selling a lease on 280 acres of land to clear is debts,' the paper reports.'Its plight has led to it paying the hosting fee for the British GP in arrears, meaning that a letter of credit from its bankers is necessary for the race to go ahead.'Managing director Patrick Allen is quoted as saying that their bank might withhold the letter of credit if the annual increase in the race hosting fee outstrips income from ticket sales."Can I guarantee the future? No I can't," Allen said. "Could I hand on heart say to Mr Ecclestone, 'don't worry, your money is absolutely safe for the next 10 years?' No, I couldn't."To pull the contract would be a sad thing for Silverstone, it would be a sad thing for motor racing and it would be a very sad thing for Britain."Silverstone, which hosted the very first world championship grand prix in 1950, is owned by the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) and lacks the investment boasted by other tracks, particularly those hosting some of the calendar's more recent additions.Ecclestone's annual fee is estimated at £16m and increases by about 5 per cent per year, said to be around half that demanded of other races.Yet it must also manage without government funding and therefore relies on ticket sales, which reached £170 for a three-day pass last year - more than any other track.Besides the increased cost of staging the race, Silverstone must also pay for improvements made in recent years: for example, the pit and paddock complex, known as 'The Wing', that opened in 2011.In an effort to lower its debts, the BRDC has leased surrounding land to MEPC for £32m. However, this has led to a loss of rental income and left Silverstone in arrears to Ecclestone."They are paying next year for this year's race because I have allowed them to do this, otherwise they would have closed before," Ecclestone said (È un bel direttore, com'è magnanimo e di buon cuore Lei, Sire)Allen added: "What you really need for all parties is, in my opinion, somebody who wants to buy a trophy asset and is willing to put a large amount of equity in."You want somebody that has got lots of money, who loves motor racing, who really wants to run Silverstone profitably but has the capital to inject into the business so it fixes the balance sheet and takes the risk profile away."Silverstone has been threatened by the loss of the British GP before, most recently in 2008 when Donington Park launched an abortive bid to host.
